Please, Try to Make a Lovely Peaceful World
Giorgio,
When my Mate and I first started going together she was totally annoyed by some ME guy (rich) who was always hitting on her. She found his attitude (prince of the universe) disgusting. She chose this total pauper (at the time) over the ME guy. And quite a few others. She was quite a looker back in the day. She still is. (must have been the Italian genes ;-)

Okay so Asian, tell me, you've abandoned your original intent to persuade people that Iran ought to be left alone to develop nuclear weapons despite the stated intent of your government to use them on Israel, and you've moved on to poking through the news to find any anti-American stories you can find?
And this is your attempt for a "lovely, peaceful world"?
Can I make a suggestion? If you want a lovely, peaceful world, stop your insane government from developing nuclear weapons before they are bombed back into the stone age. No one bears the Iranian people any ill will, and it is terrible they are made to suffer so, but if they don't stop their insane government, there is going to be war and ultimately, it is the Iranian people who will be responsible for this.

Exactly!Aslan wrote:It is very easy. You can search the topics. You can read several point of views.
So, choose an event, a fact that captured your attention, but ONLY ONE.
I will do the same, and each one of us will post the different point of views from different sources on this event.
My intent is to let you see how differently an event appears when reported from "free" sources in respect to governmental sources.
My argument will be the hanging of Atefah Sahaaleh.

Betruger, These are opponents of Iran....They have many basic problems themselves.
It seems that the Western governments are in the wrong way that leads to the destruction of humanity, Morality, Sacrifice, Love, Friendship, Honesty and Human Rights.

Why does it matter that these countries are opponents of Iran, relative to them having some parent/child problem which you've yet to define? How exactly does any western government have an inescapable influence on anyone to "not have kids" and thus as you say "[destroy] humanity, Morality, Sacrifice, Love, Friendship, Honesty and Human Rights"? What exactly, right now, is forcing me to destroy these values because I'm living under a western government?
Are you sure it's not western culture that's at the root of such a trend?
FYI I've grown up with middle easterners and considered many of them like brothers. A good deal of them were Iranian. One of the best ones did kind of put me off at some point by repeating apparently what his elders had said at some point - to take up arms and take over Toronto. "Show em what we got. We have AK47s. We can start with the subways". I did not understand at the time, since there really was nothing to complain about, about living there and then - there was work to be had and easy housing, food was cheap, plenty of room unlike e.g. Europe where I'd come from, etc.
So what was the big deal? It seemed to me like nothing more than pride. The same pattern was present in a number of my later middle eastern friends, again very close friends of mine. Iranian and Saudis and Syrian and Maghrebans alike. All of them were interesting, to me, to watch as their refusal to simmer down and have a good time dissolved at least partially, when in vivo in the USA. Other US-foreigners were the same, proud and refusing to admit that the US was a damned good place to live and arguably the best in the world. They showed it differently, e.g. the French, but it always was basically that same pattern.
Chauvinistic pride.
Now tell me. What is it exactly about any western government that makes any individual living under their influence incapable of respecting humanity, Morality, Sacrifice, Love, Friendship, Honesty and Human Rights? Cause there's PLENTY.... lemme say that again.. PLENTY of that in every western country I've lived in.
Why is it literally only among middle easterner childhood friends that I heard e.g. "if my sister ended up in bed with me without me knowing it (for whatever reason the conversation had been about coming home after parties and jumping in bed with the lights off) I'd have to kill her"? This was from an Iranian friend. And yet they in some other ways were more respectful of women than friends from other cultures. But get this .... He'd say these things, guess where? While we lived in western countries.
The impression you give me so far is of someone who hasn't been around to have an opinion of his own, other than a very brief trip to a SINGLE other country. It doesn't even really matter which country that is, when it's your first step outside of natal environment.
You wanna tell me all about how my livelihood is AFU, telling me you know better than me how it's AFU, because some Iranian news service says so. Don't you think that's a little unreal?
Also one last point that's subtle but important.... "Humanity" is as humans do; admirable or horrible. The word you want is humaneness. Because human nature includes lies, cruelty, etc. Unless you're saying westerners are something else than human.
Anyway... Once again all you have as arguments are iranian press links. No substantial articulation of your own arguments. Just let some journalist think and speak for you.
It doesn't even matter whether you're Iranian or American.
As Japan showed in WWII? In the post partially quoted above you then go on to describe some perfect utopian world where everyone lives on puppies and sunshine.Aslan wrote:This is your inference, not mine.GIThruster wrote:Okay so Asian, tell me, you've abandoned your original intent to persuade people that Iran ought to be left alone to develop nuclear weapons despite the stated intent of your government to use them on Israel, and you've moved on to poking through the news to find any anti-American stories you can find?

One day he was quite harshly criticizing that mixed groups of teenagers were allowed to stay out of home together, so at a certain point I told him:
"Dott. Adel, you keep criticizing Europe and London but you study there, you go there every couple of months, you own an house there and your children (only the 3 boys) are studying there.
If you think that place is so bad, why don't you sell the house and just live in the ME area?"
His reply was :
"I could never! England is such a beautiful country, so many things to do and see, so advanced for medicine too, and (smiling) a real paradise FOR MEN."
Now you must excuse me, I am due to my maghrib duties (afternoon prayer)."
Does it need a comment?

You are telling me that Iranian leader will not respect the rights of the rest of the people of the world until the US government apologizes to them? Did I understand this correctly?

I am starting to wonder to whom I am talking to. I would really like to know what you do in real life and how old are you.
Asian, if Iran doesn't have the A bomb then the options for destroying Israel amount to either launching a ground offensive through at least two other middle east countries or launching biological weapons in rockets. Your country doesn't have significant sea or air power.Aslan wrote:Choff:choff wrote:Asian, on a more practical note, if you or any family, friends or Iranian polywellers are currently living within the blast radius of any fission weapons sites as identified in the western media, you may want to get some distance from these places right now! It's not a question of whether or not you believe your country is producing an A bomb, rather, its whether the Israeli's believe it.
If they believe you have a bomb factory underneath a mountain, then they'll probably conclude the only way to take it out is with nuclear warheads, and more than one. If they decide they can't take it out even with nuclear warheads, then they might end up using the old Bomber Harris strategy.
He was the British head of bomber command during WW2, he used to chide the American air force generals by saying "You're going to bomb a German factory and it will take them 6 weeks to replace it. I'm going to bomb the factory workers while they sleep and it will take 20 years to replace them." (Harris got his start in the military dropping poison gas on Iraqi's in the 1920's.)
Modern warfare isn't about who's right or wrong or who has the moral high ground, it's purely about who lives and who dies. With nuclear weapons the survivors envy the dead. There are two military terms you might want to look up. SNAFU and FUBAR.
1 - Iran has no nuclear bomb.
2 - The US attacked to Iraq with same lies (having nuclear bomb) and when they prove to the world that Iraq have no Atomic-Bomb , US told: US WAS WRONG. I say you, they are absolutely wrong now.
3- Be sure that, If Israel starts a war against Iran, Israel will be certainly destroyed.
Biological weapons don't discriminate and would end up killing your own people. You also don't have the ground capability. I once knew an Iranian woman who boasted Hezballah had over 10,000 rockets in Lebanon. I pointed out that would be as many Katyuska's as the Russians would fire in a single volley during a typical WW2 eastern front battle.
So if your country isn't pursuing atomic weapons, exactly how will Iran destroy Israel? Please make some provision to get friends and family out of harms way. I'd hate to have you come back on the blog after an air strike saying someone you cared about was dead.
