It was supposed to calm the population, weed out aggression. Well, it works. The people here stopped fighting. And then they stopped everything else. They stopped going to work, they stopped breeding, talking, eating. There's 30 million people here, and they all just let themselves die.
Where is this "here" you speak of? Keep in mind this board has an international audience.

Simon, I expected you would speak geek. He's quoting the movie "Serenity" which is a Sci-Fi movie, and a pretty good one. The series was really good as well. I wish they would bring it back. It's message is very libertarian.

(Of course it's producer and it's lead actor are a couple of liberal kooks, but they can act and they can make up good stories.)

D,

I'm an old man 68 - I have no idea how much time I have left. I am not interested in entertainment. I would rather devote my time to accomplishing a few things.

Thirteen hours is a new design or three blog posts.

And my work is play. I'm SOOOOOOO lucky.

Nowadays, if you want to reach the low information voter, you have to disguise your lessons as entertainment. You know, the way the Hollywood propagandists do.

Present a good story and you can bypass logical objections to an idea because you are influencing the emotional part of the brain. You know, where all the decisions are really made.

My tactics are meta to that. I prefer to reach the high information voters with reason and let them influence the low information voters.

It is working pretty well with my favorite issue. In fact from the start of my serious work on that issue I have focused on information. I will admit that I do like entertaining with information.

I mean to misbehave.
Been doing it all my life. I'm too old to stop now.
I second palladin's suggestion. "I mean to misbehave" is a quote from the movie.
I'll take your word that it is excellent entertainment. My preference is to live it. And I have. And I am. And I will.

In what way you ask? MYOB

Was asking the first mate the other day if she liked the life of adventure I have led her on. She said she wouldn't have any other. I have been over the edge a few times. These days (with old age come less stupidity - sometimes) I prefer to live just short of it.
