I saw some bit on some news outlet... maybe slashdot. The gist of it was, reason evolved to win arguments, not to pursue the truth. Explains a lot.

I was actually pretty sure that this was true, ever since I watched a few minutes of the O'Riley report. Seeing those fanatics demo at a funeral of a fallen soldier, claimin that this was gods punishment for gays did not help either. Or the Poppov schemes (both of them). Was my thread trying to represent anyone by their worst examples? Yes. CREATIONISTS. Only those. And arguments about Noah´s veracity and a 6000 year old Earth/Universe are 90% as idiotic as the one about water running low with people drinking it. So real creationists are already the worst of their own group.
