Chris, I am not 100% sure, but from what I understand, they do not have to be that long. They just have to be repeated at 10Hz for a continous output that is high enough.
My understanding is that Slough took the confinement times that he knew he could achieve (from experiment) and worked with those.

I didn't say it did. I was just explaining where I had misguided myself into thinking there was a connection.
