Please, Try to Make a Lovely Peaceful World
Well that made no sense.
You continue to insist that your governement and military is not seeking nuclear weapons.
(Again) Read this and feel free to comment: http://isis-online.org/uploads/isis-rep ... ov2011.pdf
You are sounding more like Imadinnerjacket with every post. Please back up your claims. Please do not post like a petulant child trying to get others to listen.
Some of the things you have posted are pure fantasy.
You need to understand that the media is not tied to government in free countries. They get to report what they want and how they want, and are protected to do so by law.
You need to understand that internet conspiracy theories are just that, silly theories with no real basis but hype and illusion by folks (mostly off balance) with and agenda to pursue.
You need to understand that the rest of the world has not an issue with the people of Iran, just the rantings and actions of the leadership.
You need to understand, that unless your leadership recognizes the futility of the chosen path, that your country will be ruined for it, and probably by war. The best way (in a free society) for the leadership to get this point is to listen to its people. I do not believe that your government listens to its people at all.
Your whole argument is on the basis that everyone else must be wrong. Not a healthy point of view.

The problem is that when someone talks like that in the context of nuclear weapons, he makes people nervous. You dont want to make the wrong people nervous...
I wished the freedom movement in your country had been blessed with more success.
What is your opinion about those peacefully demonstrating opposition people that were gunned down by government thugs in the streets?
Hu?! What?!And what about those peacefully demonstrating opposition people that are guned down now by US government thugs in the streets???
Dude, there is nothing like that happening. You are fantasizing!

Absolutely. I hope I'm not being taken as anti-Iranian in any way. If I had my way, we Americans would enjoy friendly relations with all Iranians. The trouble really is the "Arabization" of Persia. Had not this insane hatred of all things Jewish infected so many Islamic nations, we would not have this tension. I hate to say it, because I am in some ways a religious person and I have deep sympathies with religions of all sorts, but it is the hatred toward the Jews found in Islam that is at the base of all this tension. The hatred comes from the Arab reinterpretation of the ancient Jewish scriptures and repudiation of them. Were Persia cleansed of this perverse hatred, there would be no Ahmadinejad's nor men like him.Skipjack wrote:The Iranians are in trouble, not because they are developing nuclear bombs, but because of their leadership consisting of madmen.

And where in your article does it say ANYTHING about US police gunning down protestors?
The nearest it gets is the incredibly funny;
I have yet to ever see a cop in the US with and "uzi". That is classic...
ROFTL
But I guess it is beliavable to you as it is what you live with in Iran. "Cops" and "undercover cops" that run around with guns and shoot folks that make them angry. We have seen many videos posted showing Iranian "Police" killing or using deadly force as they wish during recent protests. One of the most popular was a girl merely walking along that got the crap beaten out of her by "undercover" police with sticks. All shown on cell phone video shot from a window above.

That last time I saw a cop with a machine gun was on a TV show. Cops responding to crowd control do not do so with automatic weapons.huge massing of police and the police in most American cities now look more like military than police --you'll see Uzi's and heavy-duty rioting gear and such; they're pretty frightening to look at. And then, a huge massing of them, of these aluminum barriers, the orange police netting, and such that are ready to be deployed

We like Jews and Americans and we respect them specially.
You should accept that our media act very weak. I use ours and yours every time. But I'm sure that you never use both.

It is true, we have had many uprisings amongst those who often have legitimate complaints, and our system of democracy allows for this. Despite the Wall Street protests have been at times uncivilized and out of control, there have been no deaths. No shootings. No oppression. In fact, we have thousands of people camping out in public places where this is illegal and the authorities have done almost nothing in response.
You are being lied to by your government controlled press. None of what you have posted is true.

Aslan,
All I can say is "quality of information". I have read the links you posted, and have felt very sorry for you. What you perceive as "news" is exactly not.
I would strongly reccomend that what you read on "presstv.ir" be taken as suspect and not main stream.
All major news outlets have some sort of bias, however, a good generic mix is Sky, Euronews, BBC, CNN, MSNBC & Fox. As long as you understand the positional bias they have, you can read what they post and compare to gain a better balanced understanding.
Do you have access to all of these? Some even come in Persian versions so you can compare the language translations to see if you understood the nuances correctly.
