Attacks on Liberty

It's important to note that the Crusades were the result of four hundred years of these sorts of attacks. You can blame the Crusades on Europe's need to get all their fighting men out of Europe to go pillage someone else, and you'd be right, but the official argument for the Crusades, first from the people, then from the Pope, then from the various heads of state around Europe, was that the Muslims had been assaulting, robbing, raping and murdering pilgrims to the Holy Land for generations and that was entirely true. This continues with no provocation today because Islam is an inherently violent religion, completely unlike any other religion in world history.
