The Montecello Group should "plant" plastic opium poppies and find out how the DEA reacts. Perhaps some plastic hemp too?

Many years ago there was a push in Colonial Williamsburg to produce rope the way it was done in colonial times, so they planted hemp. After all, as noted in MSimon's link, the law in colonial times required that all plantations grow some hemp for rope production, since it was a vital commodity.

The Board of Directors was arrested.

Does this mean the whole of the revolution was about the founding fathers wanting to avoid British prosecution for drug crimes? It would seem as if the current crop of politicians are simply trying to keep up with traditions. Maybe they'll start a new revolt if the narc's start closing in.
