Given the LLLOOONNNGGG term trend of solar output and CO2 content in the atmosphere, I'd say that we are at a real tipping point.
The CO2 concentration has been trending DOWN for many megannia (millions of years), while the solar output has risen in pace. This has kept the temperatures RELATIVELY stable over those years. But we are effectively OUT of CO2. There is barely enough to keep the plants alive. What we need to do is RAISE the CO2 level dramatically and block out a lot of sunlight.
Geo-engineering anyone?
What is the best way to block ~10% of the sunlight?

Which is exactly why I seldom interject anything into the discussions on this subject. I really cannot fathom why other people feel the need to talk about this stuff. The CRU types are liars,(or ignorant fools) and their pronouncements are crap.
