I too am in favor of FOV. and the way to fix the primaries is to have a Single Transferable Vote vote. It insures at least a consensus without the use of superdelegates.

Single Transferable Voting is not incompatible with Full Option Voting. You can implement Full Option Single Transferable Voting quite easily.
