These guys have finally figured out how to leverage NSA surveillance state to manipulate the weaker power players and to combine that with PROG laws to threaten and crony pig troughs to get them to go along. So, Europe was bailed out of the debt crisis and leveraged to put pressure on Putin cronies (everyone has vulnerable cronies these days of pigs at the government trough). Through Prog laws, everyone can be leveraged by threat. What a wonderful super Orwell state these guys are building.

And SpaceX knows how to use the game to knock out their American competitors by utilizing the Prog's battle with Putin by hitting Putin's cronies who supply the American competitors Russian rocket engines.

Anyone who looks to gain something through the government (war on drugs, gay rights, science "green" activists, etc) are only feeding the super Orwell state. Result?

Uhm, I am all for the government going after banks. I don't think highly of them. The fine seems very small considering the long time frames and huge amounts of money we are talking about here.
SpaceX has any right to sue the USAF procurement. They are doing a block buy of 36 launches that was never competed and that is essentially going to prevent SpaceX from competing for DOD launches for years to come. This is going to cost the US government billions. The whole Putin + RD180 situation is only one minor angle of this lawsuit.

To get a gubbermant contract, even when performance and cost say you should get it, look what SpaceX had to do. The winning argument was to use political trough backstabbing, crony wars. Makes me want to take a shower just thinking about it.

Politics is the currency of gubbermant, it is inherently crooked. Nothing to cheer for there. Pure stone age stupid.
