Gravity Waves Discovered?

Gravity waves confirm the interrelation of gravity and inertia, as far as I understand the theories involved.

I feel this makes the Mach Effect far more plausible within the realm of conventional physics.

What do physicists think?

I'm uncertain how this pertains to M-E theory. Certainly there is cause for interest here regardless, and there are indeed a handful of ways this could be important specifically to Jim's theory, but I would not say this necessarily provides significant evidence for M-E theory. It may, but it is over my head and I personally think what Jim says on the subject will be very important.

There has been a lot of interest in years past about the import of the Higgs particle and whether it is important to M-E theory. Jim's explanation has always been that M-E theory is not directly impacted by whether we do or don't find a Higgs and in fact, he addresses this directly in his book. My suspicion is, these waves are similarly important in their own right, but neither consistent nor inconsistent with current M-E theory.
