The crooked system. How socialism "works." Note it's not the elites who can afford $30,000 solar systems that can make the meter run backwards(now that's a farce) who suffer. It's the working poor who make just enough money to be ineligible for the subsidies and elderly have too many assets and don't understand what happening to them who are going to get soaked and well die in the heat.

If you read carefully you will note I'm not too fond of the smart grid.

If the meter were truly "smart", then for home PVers, it would run backwards at about 40% speed and then run forward at ~120% speed during the peak power times when the sun don't shine. This would closely approximate the benefit and cost of the grid tied home PV system.
