Aten solar panels, which are thin film, are selling at $3/watt, a good 30% below crystalline PV's avg. price of $4.50/watt. It's not nearly the promise of $1/watt made 2 or 3 years ago in many news articles, but it's enough of a price change for me to seriously consider PV'ing my house.
Maybe if I hold out one more year enough of the other plants will come online to push it down to $2.50/watt or better...
