ClimateColab fusion entry needs votes!

Post by DennisP »

I'm a finalist at the MIT ClimateColab, with an entry promoting polywell, focus fusion, and other alt-fusion efforts. There are three finalists in the category, judges will pick one winner and popular vote will pick another.

Winners will present their entries at a conference at MIT, in November. They hope to have policymakers and investors there.

Voting lasts through August. I've got a good lead at the moment but a lot can happen in a month, and I think one of the other entries will be very competitive. Anything you can do to help would be great! If you have questions, let me know.

Here's my entry, you can vote here after logging in. One vote per email address:

(Please don't spoof with fake emails, this is MIT after all and we don't want to be disqualified.)

Here are the other finalists:

Hey Dennis,

At first, I wrote this contest off.

But, Last I looked we were doing well. So, I promoted it on the web.

I think if we can get everyone in the community to vote, we will win.

Winning would be great for this whole Alternative Fusion Community.

Getting the attention of MIT would be huge.

We can show Ivory Tower Academics that we here - and we mean business.

So I voted. I hope others do to.

MIT is aware of alternate fusion. Even Polywell.
Todd Rider even works there, well there being Lincoln Labs in his case.

Thanks for the vote mattman!

MIT generally gets a fair amount of press coverage for these things, and the conference they're organizing should bring policymakers and investors. A win here gets us exposure beyond just MIT.
