Inertial Confinement imaging diagnostic

Post by drmike »

MIT got mentioned in EETimes this week (March 10, 2008 pg 14) for an imaging system that looks at laser driven fusion. I found a paper from 2006 which describes it in detail.

The article also mentions "U.S. Energy Department's Office of Inertial Confinement" which is mostly aimed at laser fusion and the NIF.

Not sure it's useful, but it looks interesting.

edit: fix url

Yeah, I saw that. I don't think they'd be publishing a thesis on it and putting out PR now if it was supposed to be a spoof. Besides, it's not very funny!

Physicists don't make good standup comics, I guess...
