Induction polywell

Post by hanelyp »

For my first post to the board, a perhaps an off the wall idea:
A polywell reactor operating in pulsed mode, the 'coils' being solid conductors powered by induction from electromagnets outside the core. Plotting the net electric and magnetic fields would of course be more complicated, but I see possible advantages in getting the fine coils out of the core.

I had pondered this myself, though not pulsed, continous instead.

But alas my knowledge of all of this is rather low to have any idea about the practicality of this approach, but still, ideas of this nature can sometimes spark solutions, or be in themselves solutions.

Hanelyp,

I don´t understand you clearly. Are you referring to create an electric field in the magnets by induction from other external fluctuating magnetic field? Can you explain how would be designed that reactor? Also its advantages because at the end you have to support physically the reactor (except if you design a new levitating dipole reactor (LDX) )

But anyway is a good point
