Startup "Fuse", Flow-Through Z-Pinch

Point out news stories, on the net or in mainstream media, related to polywell fusion.

Startup "Fuse", Flow-Through Z-Pinch

Post by Skipjack »

There is another, relatively new fusion startup, called Fuse (how original ;) ) that is hoping to use a Z- Pinch for fusion.
They have been pretty low key until now. Their website is pretty much just a picture and contact information.
Their concept seems to be somewhat similar to ZAP, from what I understand from this abstract:

Anyone got more insights into this?

The founder and Chief scientist is Raymond Golingo. He has been working with Uri Shumlak for at least 20 years, and they coauthored most of the research papers and patents on the ZAP. He left his teaching position and his position in ZAP energy to start this new venture.
I wonder what is the full story behind all of this.

Interesting. Maybe he thinks that this variant can be done cheaper and easier than the SFS Z- Pinch.

Maybe, I could not find any good information or technical papers on their intended approach.
