Computation by Switching in Complex Networks of States (free PDF, for now)

Interesting. I have to take time to read through this in more detail, but it sure sounds fascinating.

I'm not sure of the physics here, but it doesn't seem like the kind of thing that would have a different set of Efficiently computable problems (ie: sounds to me like polytime ins this system is exactly like the classical P)

Doesn't make it less interesting though.
