Well, the news here (at least for me) is that they seem to have confirmed a lot of previous findings and unfortunately found a lot of problems that make smaller devices unworkable. Not sure what that means for the future, other than that they will need a lot more funding than what they have had until now.nothing new here but found it in the wild and decided to share.
Great find!

This document has been referenced a number of times in past discussions. Most recently it is one of the ones I tossed Joseph in his never ending seeming refusal to actually read things.

Ok, for some reason I must have missed it every time, or maybe the link was not working or something like that. Anyway, I never got to see it until now. This document has been referenced a number of times in past discussions. No worries. Especially because I am absolutely sure that now you have it, you haveread it, and will apply it to your understanding.

I love re-reading that Results and Final Conclusions document. Every time I do, something else jumps out at me. The discussion about line-like cusp lengths of several cm having a 2-5X effect on confinement finally sunk in as the reason he anticipated the same 2-5X improvement in HIS WB7 which was supposed to be a square plan-form MaGrid with VERY short cusps where the WB6 line-like cusps were. Neat.
Also, seems to reconfirm the potential value of the X-Cusp design.

I fully agree, going back and reviwing the base material on occasion is invaluable to furtheering current understanding. I particularly enjoy doing it with Bussard's and Nebel's work.
