The race is on Polywell vs ITER: 2

[Unfortunately, the previous thread of this title got locked due to thread drift.]

"The idea of a polywell vs ITER race immediately caused me to imagine a fat elephant, with no legs, up against a dwarf on a penny farthing, sitting there at the start line long after the starter klaxon."

Looks like the dwarf's penny farthing has toppled over whilst he was trying to reach for the pedals...

...whilst the elephant has just been lying there on his tummy eating, and growing a bit fatter, and older....

That is funny.

On a related note: The EUs wanted a delay until 2020 but the other partners (US?) wouldn't hear of it. So 2019 was agreed. Now that is the management schedule. Any connection to reality is tenuous at best.

Are you sure that the dwarf wasnt.....tossed?
