It looks like it takes 3 months for changes to hit the FPDS report web site. That would mean we should see a project closing update in July, after which EMC2 should have something to say, one would hope... Or maybe they will just give up their desert lease and slink away.

I am still holding out for things are going well.
In the contracting world there is what is called "The List"
These are contractors that have submitted proof to the government that they have the finances and resources to fulfill a large contract. The large contractors manage the project then sub out all the work they can and basically guarantee the work gets done.
EMC2 is not on "The List"
So IF things did go well the next step would be a proposal, Funding ,and contracting ect ect.
This would mean we would not hear jack squat for long time. and when we did the contract would be in the name of one of the big guys.
This is assuming everything went well and they are moving on to a full scale device.
Which I literally have no proof of at this time.
I am not a nuclear physicist, but play one on the internet.

"50 Ways to Kick em Out the Door," sung to the tune of "50 Ways to Leave your Lover," (Paul Simon). Or, if you like, $400k pink slip.

Consolation prize, separation package, but better than a kick in the teeth. As stated before, using all the 20-20 hindsight at my disposal, EMC2 did not have enough padding in their budget to cover the elephant sized e-guns they later determined were needed and the Navy was not accommodating to their discovered budget requirements. A shame for EMC2 and the Navy.

I hope EMC2 is able to make the transition to non government funding.

Looks like they updated the totals and then included all polywell project money since the very beginning (instead of for just WB-8. I wonder why now? Back scene politics?
