Is this in response to something in this thread? Talk-Polywell is public from a read perspective and I'd assume many know about this board. I hope so at least.Betruger wrote:The people at NSF know about this board and can read what's said here. ...

Re: Mach Effect progress
Is there a summary anywhere of who has duplicated Woodward's results with respect to finding anomalous thrust explicable by Mach Effect affirming results? I know there has been such, about 6 if I remember, but am trying to put together a list. I don't believe there is a list, nor a strong contingen...

Tajmar reported a negative result, if that is who you're talking about.paperburn1 wrote:I thought the german already found the source of the unexplained push and it was a design /test flaw and no neal propulsion was found.
Re: EM Drive
https://www.plymouth.ac.uk/staff/mike-mcculloch I guess you were right...apparently I was mislead by the article calling him a "physicist" and adding the "Dr." before his name; a little misleading that. I frequent /r/physics over on reddit. His theory came up and a dog pile ensued. The general cons...
Re: EM Drive
Somehow this PHD must have missed that part. Not to be snarky, but I can't help but point out that McCulloch's PhD is in Physical Oceanography. If one PhD is as good as the next to talk about differing subjects, then My BS in Comp. Sci. and EE must make me a reasonable authority in nuclear reactors...
Re: EM Drive
From your posted link: The theory has already predicted galaxy rotation without dark matter, and the fact that if a system is accelerated enough – such as a spinning disc or light bouncing between mirrors – the Unruh waves it sees can be influenced by a shield. Therefore, if a damper is placed abov...

Re: EM Drive
Anyone here still holding out any hope that Sonny White will succeed in pulling a rabbit out of his hat and proving EmDrive is valid? Understand that Tajmar hasn't exactly killed it yet just seems to be saying you can't rule out some kind of interference causing the apparent "thrust" results? Maybe...
Re: EM Drive
That statement rings true to me. How would one go about designing a thruster based on this interaction with Earth's magnetic field? Some compact propellantless device that could counter drag on a satellite orbiting at 100 - 200 km altitude would be very useful indeed. Here is my simplified down ans...

Re: Mach Effect progress
To further explain my position which you quoted, I have not seen (read/heard) of any compelling evidence to date. The primary evidence that sparked the interest 2 years ago came from China. A Professor Yang had published data eluding to high thrust and a possible pseudo-confirmation of Shawyers (agr...

Re: Mach Effect progress
The EMDrive front is mostly quiet these days. Still a few DIYers around, but the hype has definitely died off. Last I heard, Paul March retired, but still toys around with EMDrive/Mach Effects ideas. If he's around, he could probably say more. There is dead silence from the EagleWorks lab and Sonny ...

Re: Mach Effect progress
It does seem to me most of what you just listed are easily compensated for tho: * Have a control to compare against * Measure acceleration, not initial velocity * Have multiple test units in case of malfunction. You can't really have a control in space without being there. The reason is that you ca...

Update on SSI experiments from Heidi Fern: https://youtu.be/B1KfN7y4y4I http://ssi.org/wp-content/uploads/2018/02/ssiapw2017_12_fearn.pdf I continue to be hopeful about his, but when asked about doing an orbital experiment, she suggests they don’t have near enough money to do that. I find it hard t...

Re: LENR Is Real
People see what people want to see: someone will see proof, someone will see flashing lights. IIRC, from 2011 we have many PhD with tenure and a life time of experience looking at Rossi work and stating their support; Prof Levi from University of Bologna Prof Sven Kullander from University of Uppsa...

Re: Mach Effect progress
Since I only used spouting and you used suckering It is easy to get sucked into something promising, but even harder to admit when one is wrong if it doesn't pan out. go around stating something definitively They don't "go around", they state things as formally as anyone else. They do not state it ...
