Re: Mach Effect progress
Correct me if I am wrong, but my impression is that the original thrust levels versus energy input is at least a million times less than originally claimed based on the more recent test results margins for error. As such, even if the physics works, thrust will be much less than even current ion thr...

Re: 1.2 mN / kW
http://www.nextbigfuture.com/2016/11/new-nasa-emdrive-paper-shows-force-of.html I believe the MET has already demonstrated better thrust by a factor of 6 or so at least. I have never quite understood why the MET concept seems to be a backwater when it has a better theoretic basis, math which explai...
Re: EM Drive
Well folks, looks like the "leaked" paper and all the rumors have been sourced to an NSF member that goes by the name "TheTravellerReturns." This particular NSF user has a history of rage-quitting their forum only to come back. Has denied he was the source, although that denial is hard to refute no...
Re: EM Drive
An interesting article about the EM workshop this week in Colorado. Some participants: http://www.ibtimes.co.uk/emdrive-controversial-space-propulsion-will-be-discussed-by-scientists-actual-conference-1582115 Dr Martin Tajmar, Professor and Chair for Space Systems at the Dresden University of Techn...
Re: EM Drive
Umm.. I think you are mistaken. The very first conference paper that Eagle Works published was for their experiment using a Frustum similar to shawyers but it had a Dielectric insert in it. Whites entire theory for why the thing works is based on the need for that Die electric insert. They also inc...
Re: EM Drive
Good to hear. My predictions, for what they're worth: 1. The paper won't settle the controversy. 2. Just possibly they'll be able to report reproduction by another group in NASA. 3. Skeptics will continue to attack the experimental apparatus and the signal to noise. Agree with 1 Disagree with 2.......
Re: EM Drive
I think the part that your missing in your analysis is that the EagleWorks setup is different. Shawyer/Yang and quite a few of the DIY are all running frustums with no die electric in them. While the EagleWorks and Cannae versions have die electrics in them. While I have no clue what effect the die...
Re: EM Drive
In my opinion, given the data that has come out thus far, there is nothing to this EM Drive. My primary issues are that Shawyer has never shared the full specifications of his build, EagleWorks failed to replicate thrust, and Yang altered her experiment, moving the power source onto the pendulum wi...

Re: EM Drive
It could be noted that Tajmar has been on the "oh those darn artifacts fooled me again" end of the stick several times. I'll give him credit that he eventually does admit if/when he's wrong, but he's had a few gotcha moments. That being said, since Shawyer wants to remain secretive and I don't expe...
Re: EM Drive
The few posts I had over there where I suggested thermal effects, Lorentz forces, or anything else were met with removal or responded with "you're argument is the same as the others" (paraphrasing). Of course it is, because the issues haven't been handled. I will take you at your word because I hav...
Re: EM Drive
umm I have been following the discussion on NSF since thread1 and I have yet to see any member of that forum dox anyone. I assume your referring to the reddit discussion. If that is the case please make it much clearer that is the case. The discussion that is happening at NSF about EmDrive is about...
Re: EM Drive
Tell me it was the "he who shall not be named" idiot (Schnitzel or whatever) that he outed and I am on his side! Thank god that psychopath got bored and moved on to other boards to seek being "banned" from once he figured out there is no banning here. Not to my knowledge. He outed an individual who...

Re: LENR Is Real
Hahahaha!!! Lots of talk about how an Ecat might work, but no-one has yet to prove one works.... :) Looks like the next "one year test" could be the so called Ecat X. Ih, and poor HotCat, Ecat commercial, and ecat home will be forgotten. Really interesting how the repeating patterns have been "sold...

Re: LENR Is Real
What would give you confidence? More work, data, and analysis. As noted by others, they really aren't showing much yet. I suspect if they are true to form progressively doing good albeit rough experimentation, that they'll eliminate or chalk up to noise any signal measurement. This is what I expect...
