Re: Lawaranceville E-Newsletter
Bennmann, did you notice it was one year to the hour since the previous update in this thread?
Giorgio, their advancement has slowed, but they're trying harder things and keep having speed bumps. I respect the open manner they discuss advancement as well as challenges.

FOIA Navy Documents Released?
My "polywell" google alert sent an article link this morning. The article claims NextBigFuture.com got Navy documents through a Freedom of Information Act request related to MC2 research results. I don't see anything on the NBF website, however. Seems strange. Thoughts? http://www.nationmultimedia.c...

Re: LPP is crowdfunding fusion
I hope their crowd funding effort pays off. $200,000 seems like such a small investment to test boron fusion. I'm certainly more confident giving my money to Lerner than Rossi! Lol. Plus, I've always wanted some ferrofluid.

As much as I enjoy the perpetually wandering Mach Effect, LLP, and LENR omni-thread flame wars, what I really want is some real news regarding Polywell and MC2. Just saying. I understand no news is good news for now, kinda, but we used to get more frequent tidbits and updates. I'm amazed how I still...

Just thinking about this quickly, why are they concerned with the electron velocities at all? Seems to me the electrons can do their job of creating a potential well for the real actors (positively charged ions for fusion) as long as the electrons stay in the magnetic bottle. Are faster electrons mo...

I don't know about industrial generators, but it is really obvious when the generator we use as backup for the house is under load. It sounds totally different, as you would expect, when the motor has to produce more power. I'm thinking it should've been readily apparent to the observers in Italy if...

Just remember, their after a total decrease in power generated / used by humanity not an increase. They don't want a viable long term power solution to exist. They want massive loss of human life, to them the animals and plants are more important then humans. From their point of view, the absolute ...

Well, that's a reasonable position to take. However, I do note the quote attached to your posts. "Courage is not just a virtue, but the form of every virtue at the testing point." C. S. Lewis Shall we be skeptical scientists but compliant citizens? I say we exercise our rights or consider them lost.

So, we have seven months to digest the small morsels of information fed to us by EMC2. And that's assuming we get another appetizer after waiting. What we need is more data! Otherwise, it's going to be seven long months of debating the proper name for our new space force. How can we actively collect...

Hello, all! I finally decided to register and start posting after years of lurking in the shadows. On a scale of chrismb <-> ivy, please file me under optimist, pragmatist, and skeptic. I think that puts me in the center left. BTW, I bet this scale is the first time chrismb has been labeled a leftis...
