why is it so hard to reflect xrays? Think of light, if you were not allowed to use mirrors, how could you bring light back to its source? use a mass of fiberoptic bundles and curl them back to the source. i clearly wasnt thinking straight. if i did that, then maybe that's the opposite of using an iron core in an electromagnet. instead of packing the field lines more tightly around the core, you'd get a bigger 'hole in the middle'.
