Re: LENR Is Real
Parallel, what has me puzzled is why anyone would promote a device with a COP (well, thermodynamic efficiency) of 3 (as Rossi has reported in the Lugano test), when 20-30 was realized years ago--and particularly when applied to heat his working quarters. It's like an investment fund advising clients...

Re: LENR Is Real
One thing that puzzles me is whatever happened to the COP of 30 reported by Levi and Rossi some, oh, 4 years ago?

Re: EEStor says something - but not too much
So is this the end of the story? I've no idea. Heck, there are still believers in John Keeley, Bessler and Joe Papp. There never is an end for some people. Rational people, on the other hand, move on with life. Now, is there any physical law that prohibits densely storing a large charge in a capaci...

For whatever it's worth, B has declared the game's end. Too bad--it made for some entertainment.

Re: EEStor says something - but not too much
I note that theeestory.com site has been offline for the past few days (right after the AGM).
Anyone know if that's permanent?

Re: EEStor says something - but not too much
I can categorically state that Zenn has held true to one of their claims.
Zenn = "Zero emissions, no noise".
I haven't ever seen a noisy, smoke-belching Zenn car. Nor, I suspect, will I ever.
So there's a promise kept.

Re: EEStor says something - but not too much
Well, that's just it--a "Hail Mary" miracle play from an outfit left running on fumes looking to get a cash infusion should be viewed with more than a grain of skepticism. In the case of the poop reported by Weir since the very beginning, doubly so. Another thing to keep in mind if you believe the P...

Re: EEStor says something - but not too much
Nobody knows that--all we have are "layers" and previous tests have shown wide variability between samples. There are no fully-assembled testable capacitors using Weir's technology.birchoff wrote:So here is what I dont get. what is the claimed capcity of their capacitors?
Nor any EESUs for that matter...

Re: LENR Is Real
My guess is that Rossi will simply swap the probe housing around so that it appears to be correct. Naturally, this will be his own unit, contributed from the goodness of his heart. You will probably never see him using a shunt ammeter or power meter. Much harder to deceive (but also very accurate).

Re: LENR Is Real
I know better than to ask this question, but my curiosity demands it. Why would the ash be fake? Rossi already got a payday from IH. The researchers carrying out the test and analysis risk a scarlet letter of sorts by faking the results. It doesn't make sense to me that anyone would believe without...

Re: LENR Is Real
As for the rest of your comment's while I agree it would have been nice to have an iron clad case. I doubt Rossi is looking for Iron Clad science. If anyone is going to attempt to prove that Rossi really doesnt have anything then they would need to prove that the isotopic analysis in this test is b...

Re: LENR Is Real
One scarcely knows where to start. I haven't even bothered to check the math yet, but several things stick out: It's the same gang that wrote the first, flawed report. All the usual suspects. Rossi talking about a blue-ribbon independent party comprised of many people was just talk. Skimming the pap...

Re: Salt Water Car
It's worth noting that the much-trumpeted 0-60 number is largely due to the large supercapacitor bank, not the flow cell output itself. It's also that capacitor bank that contributes to the high price of the car.

Re: EEStor says something - but not too much
Well, the private placement at 0.26 probably found some takers, but they're probably not the sort of people you want holding your stock. I suspect that they don't really care about any technological assets; they'll short the stock, then use the proceeds to buy more, etc. In other words, stock worth ...

Re: LENR Is Real
Exactly, Giorgio--all we have is Rossi's statements. That's not convincing proof, since no one has ever reported witnessing a runaway meltdown of a Rossi device. Besides, I thought that Rossi has stated on more than one occasion that the phenomenon is self-limiting, owing to the melting point of (hi...
