mmm i dont think this is going to work. you need magnetic coils circling around the toroid (as opposed to the rings in a polywell, where they are arranged on the face of the taurus). and like you said, the electrons will be in a ring shape so if you imagine a circular cross section of a portion the ...

Simulation Nuances

I don't think i'm quite ready to actual model a polywell simulation, but at bare minimal, I wanted to model point charges and currents, in a vacuum, in 3D space. 1. Most of the polywell sims I've seen so far model the coils as a series of rings of constant current, calculating their magnetic fields ...

I have about 5000 dollars... total =/

I come from a software engineering background without much fab knowledge though I do have a little access.

That would work well for producing a spool; but for the rounded ones like in wb6 I thought there might be some other construction mechanism. Perhaps not.

torus electromagnets

Making torus/circular/round electromagnets seems like it would be a daunting task. I did a forums search, but didn't find much that would be helpful in that regard. Have any of you attempted to build this type of eletromagnet by hand? If so, any construction hints / tips would be greatly appreciated.

someone before (in another post) mentioned that the nature of the polywell simulation might not lend well to distributed computing. the basis of the assertion was the amount of time it takes to access the data would be far greater than the amount of time it takes to actually crunch it. in the polywe...
