Drove by EMC^2 today.
I live in San Diego and when I'm driving near EMC^2 I sometimes drive around their building. Today the garage door was open. The following was my impression gotten in a 5 second glance. About 1/2 the machine was covered in what looked like insulation, or shielding. Whatever it was it was made up of ...

they are in unit #4 shared.
EMC is in the middle of a row of office/industrial spaces.
They have neighbors on each side.
The big tank is directly behind their unit.

EMC shop
I drove past the new EMC office again while in the area for other reasons. There is a very large cryogenic Dewar installed behind their shop, I was not close enought to see if it was LN LHe or something else. It was much larger than the normal portable Ln2 or Lox dewars I'm familiar with. So does th...

I signed the EMC NDA under the hope that I might learn something. If I had it to do over I would have just left. On the other hand LPP did not ask that I sign an NDA. By visiting LPP I did not gain much specific technical knowledge beyond what could be gained from carefully reviewing their videos an...

I also visited the EMC lab in San Diego....
The new EMC^2 lab is about 1/2 mile from my office. So a week or so ago I drove by the new address posted here. They have clearly moved as EMC is listed on the building directory. There were a bunch of cars parked in front of their unit. Looking in from the outside you could see through their front ...

I visited LPP
I visited the LPP/FocusFusion Lab, as a potential investor. I went through the lab and got to watch several 8 switch shots. They have multiple different ways to detect neutrons and are clearly generating neutrons via D-D fusion. They have obviously spent a fair bit in building their lab, but none of...
