In the article he says he searched the same position but it has not repeated. Maybe it won’t, or we won’t be looking when it does. Maybe it was random noise that just looks like a signal. Maybe it is some unknown natural phenomenon. So many uncertainties, but Dr. Bhathal seems confident that it’s re...

Here is a dodecahedron polywell with the spherical vacuum chamber made transparent. blue - coils green - coil supports to the surrounding vacuum chamber red, yellow - ion guns / electron guns / instruments purple - alpha traps above all the cusps http://imgur.com/Z1liQ.png Here is one of the 12 segm...

3D polywell drawings
Hey everybody. I've just been lurking around here now and then, with the brilliant updates today from EMC2 I thought I would post some pics I've made. Have a look and tell me what you think, hopefully my drawings will evolve into actual design drawings one day. Here is a six coil reactor: http://img...

Hi Itgbrown I think the more people that are involved in this technology the better :!: Your suggestion ties up with my current understanding of the BFR. The alpha particle collectors have to be directly above the cusps to capture the alphas, so the ion guns will have to be offset and fire at an ang...

True, but the Polywell outside the MaGrid is + to attract the electrons into the center to create the wiffle ball in the first place. I agree, an electron outside the magrid must see the magrid as +ve overall so that it gets pulled towards the magrid. Then the magnetic fields will channel them into...

As far as I understand the wiffleball/contained plasma must be net -ve so that the P+ and B11+ ions are attracted to it and oscillate about the centre of the reactor until they collide and fuse. As far as I know the objective is to fire the +ve ions are fired from ion guns outside the magrid. They a...

high velocity +ve alphas are created in the wiffleball from the PB11 fusion reaction, are contained briefly by the magnetic fields around the polywell/magrid, then find a cusp hole in the magnetic field and exit the polywell/magrid towards the vaccum chamber wall or direct energy conversion device. ...

Thanks for the explanations MSimon, tomclarke and 93143 Connecting the voltage levels the way you suggested tom and simon also occurred to me. Whoever has the job of setting that circuit up one day is going to have fun. I was unaware of the –ve grid used to slow down the alphas once they past it, no...

Is there any reason BIG synchronous buck converters (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Buck_converter) can't be used to step the two different high voltage levels down to something more manageable like 500 kV. Surely they could be constructed out of existing high power IGBTs in series. See http://www.ptd...

Back to the reason I posted in the first place, I think I stumbled on an explanation for the direct conversion to electricity that worked for me. It is here – http://www.talk-polywell.org/bb/viewtopic.php?t=541&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=15. The key phrase from Carlos, “You could say: Hey, if yo...
