Re: Helion Energy to demonstrate net electricity production by 2024

What else can they do? There is no He3 to buy so they have to make it themselves from the D-D reaction. This is not quite correct. There is He3 to buy. It costs 20,000 USD/gram. Not economic for power plants, but does not matter for tests. May it be as it will with that. They will still have to run...

Re: Lyten - Lithium Sulfur Battery

Oh dear... Northvolt was a massive failure. Some even say it was a scam. Whatever it was, the money is gone and the Lyten Company got themselves a huge amount of hardware and real estate. At a bargain price. The press here in Sweden has called the spectacle "the ant that bought a dead elephant". So...

Re: Lyten - Lithium Sulfur Battery

The Lyten company has acquired the former Northvolt establishment in Skellefteå, Sweden: https://www.di.se/nyheter/northvolt-saljs-till-amerikanska-lyten/ The American battery manufacturer Lyten is buying Northvolt. The assets are valued at 50 billion kronor – but Lyten has not paid that much. “The ...

Re: Helion Energy to demonstrate net electricity production by 2024

Hmm. So I guess the strategy is to use D-D to tune the device for the right plasma conditions (e.g. triple product), then D-He3 and further tuning to maximize the fusion, then yet more tuning to maximize the direct energy out. Hopefully that will demonstrate net electricity production. It seems to ...

Someone has obviously found it worthwhile to spend the money needed for a patent application for this contraption:

MIRRORCLE-20SX System - desktop D-T fusion

Stumbled upon this: https://www.researchgate.net/publication/393405310_High-Power_Deuterium-Tritium_Fusion_Enabled_by_a_Tabletop_Electron_Storage_Ring novel compact nuclear fusion concept based on a 20 MeV tabletop electron storage ring (ESR), which electrostatically confines and accelerates deuteri...

Re: General Fusion in the news

Bad news indeed, but you have to remember, the goals of the climate change cult are ultimately anti-human. The point is fewer humans, so cheap, abundant, clean energy isn't part of that plan. The easiest way to achieve depopulation is prosperity through fusion energy. Fertility rates drops drastica...

Interesting formation technique. That will certainly help making their machines smaller and cheaper to build. What is notable to me mostly how low the temperatures they are operating at still are today. This makes it possible for them to omit the two big drums at each end of the machine. Correctly ...

Fresh nature article: https://www.nature.com/articles/s41467-025-58849-5 We report evidence of successful generation of field-reversed configuration plasmas by neutral beam injection. These results establish a field-reversed configuration formation method which may offer technological and economic a...

Re: Europe lost and the division of the world begins

I thought you were american... Generally, I think it is a fairly solid statement that the acceptance of a russian overtake shows an inverse relationship to actual experience of russian rule. With a few notable exceptions. I agree the russians are active in the opinion formation arena with some notab...
