Polywell as steppingstone?

If polywell fusion is developed, in what ways will the world change for better or worse? Discuss.

Polywell as steppingstone?

Post by JohnP »

Just wondering out loud. If large energy surpluses afforded by fusion allow larger quantities of antimatter to be manufactured in the future, could antimatter be the ultimate energy destination? Or does an matter-antimatter reaction yield less energy than what it took to make the antimatter?

There are always losses.

However, the energy density is useful. About 1,000X p-B11. If you can bottle it.
Engineering is the art of making what you want from what you can get at a profit.
