I was in Berkeley in the era Horowitz was. I never met him but he paints the scene with a very vivid brush.

I think a lot of people are waking up to what the Democrat party has become:

Unfortunately many do not seem to be members of the current Republican establishment. Remember what I posted about being too inbred in Washington. The political and bureaucratic class draw to much from the ivy covered snob factories and both parties are too heavily dependent on graduates from those fine institutions. Add the isolation effect of Washington and you get what we are seeing now.
