Goodbye Tension, Hello Pension

Post by choff »

Friday was my last working day, hanging it up after 40+ years on the road fixing machinery. No more trying to dig up parts out of the trunk in freezing rain. From now on before it snows I stock up the larder and shelter in place.

More time to engage in annoying $hitposting.

When I was retiring, I was setting up to become a contractor. I said, "I'll take month off then start briging in the BIG bucks". Well, that month stretched just a bit. It has been ~5.5 years and I find I LIKE being retired. :D

I officially retired after 26 years in the US Navy on Sunday. I was able to pull the go into work in uniform on Friday and show up on Monday in a suit. Some downsides but having a steady pay check is nice.
