The author of this article probably doesn't know it, but what he is describing is how companies operated in the late 19th century. Management styles were more flexible and less regimented, with companies shrinking and growing with requirements. Now all we need is the understanding that you reward people for what they do and we can dump the Progressive model of corporate management that really di so much long term harm to the employment structure.:
