I've come across this page before (http://amasci.com/miscon/elect.html), and thought others here might find it interesting. I didn't have time to reread all of it again, but it was enlightning when I first read point 1 of "electricity misconceptions", and also like points 5 & 7.
I should add "not that some random page on the web is the THE TRUTH," but even as an EE grad it made me evaluate some things I hadn't realised that I'd taken for granted.
