According to Shelby, the powertrain developed for the Ultimate Aero EV uses a lithium ion battery pack, which can be fully charged from a 110 volt AC outlet in 10 minutes.
120 VAC X 12 A * 1/6th hr = 240 Whr. For 200 mi range.

You know - I don't think so. At .2 KWh/mile (very optimistic) That is 1.2 miles for a 10 minute charge. 7.2 miles for a 1 hr charge. 72 miles for a 10 hour charge. Roughly 200 miles for a 30 hr charge.
The details of this powertrain follow an announcement in July of last year that Shelby was working on turning the Ultimate Aero into an electric car. In that previous announcement, Shelby said its electric powertrain "will feature a revolutionary power source allowing for extended time between charging intervals with the possibility of several years between charging."
I know - he uses a micro-fusion reactor.
Engineering is the art of making what you want from what you can get at a profit.

Nope, just a special 120V 2000A "outlet"!

As I said, its either magic or politics, because it isn't any technology I ever heard of.
Shelby could provide a home charging station with EEStor storage units that charge up continuously then dump their power into the lithion ion batteries in a 10 minute interval. Talk about smoking some batteries!
The other way would be to have a spare battery pack charging at home, then the soccer mom could swap out a few hundred pounds of batteries in 10 minutes. How many sales would they get with that setup?
But the article said "charge in 10 minutes from a 120 volt outlet." As I see it there are only two options. Its either magic or politics, either option would work. But I hope its magic because its really discouraging to see a well liked car company like Shelby getting that far into politics.
Of course it could be media spin on available anti GW tech.

Article claims a 200 HP to 500HP engine;

Considering that 200 horsepower = 149.139 kilowatt's

and 500 Horsepower = 372.80 kilowatt's

I'm not seeing it at all.

Just because I've never heard of this technology doesn't make it wrong, but the numbers don't work out for me. It looks to me like an error of one or two orders of magnitude. But charging in 100 minutes still doesn't work and charging in 1000 minutes (16.6 hours) is pretty lame, it seems to me.

I like the p-B11 resonance peak at 50 KV acceleration. In2 years we'll know.
