ABC News to Cut Hundreds of Staff Members
By BRIAN STELTER

In what it called a “fundamental transformation,” ABC News said Tuesday that it was seeking to substantially reduce its staff, possibly by up to 25 percent.

Employees said they were told that the news division was seeking 300 to 400 buyouts, and would resort to layoffs if necessary. ABC News employs roughly 1,400 people.

The cuts at ABC, a unit of the Walt Disney Company, are among the steepest ever conducted by a network news division, and are likely to be seen as a further erosion of the company’s news-gathering arm.

And Fox news keeps adding viewers and employees. CBS news is also laying people off. Pity the Poor Liberal New York Union members. I guess they'll just have to go to work for the Government.

A friend of mine just told me that I was being "vicious." I told him it wasn't vicious enough for what those people have done. The media plays mind-steering games. Isn't it ironic that they receive the consequence of their actions?

What Liberal Bias?

-- consider the life and career of James Wieghart, who died this week at the age of 76. Mr Wieghart's tenure in journalism was, by any measure, successful, star-studded--and emblematic of the problem of bias in American journalism. His journey, step by step.
* the Milwaukee Journal
* staff, Sen. Wm. Proxmire
* staff Rep. Henry Reuss
* Washington reporter New York Daily News
* Washington bureau chief New York Daily News
* Executive Editor New York Daily News
* Scripps Howard News Service, where he wrote a column.
* staff director for Sen. Edward Kennedy, D-Mass.
* spokesman for the Iran-contra special prosecutor, Lawrence Walsh.
* chairmanship of the journalism department at Central Michigan University/ 'consultant' to the Iran-contra investigations for four more years.

Mr. Wieghart's obituary in The Washington Post, which recounted his various comings and goings, did not see fit to comment on the propriety of mixing journalism with partisan political labor, except to quote Mr. Wieghart to the effect that, working as an investigator for Walsh, involved "a never-ending battle with a lot of lily-livered lawyers"--who, no doubt, were defending their clients against political prosecution.

Ted Kennedy's Soviet Gambit

Kennedy would make certain the networks gave Andropov air time--and that they rigged the arrangement to look like honest journalism.

On February 23, ABC TV Channel 7, WTRF News (Wheeling, West Virginia/ Steubenville, Ohio), posted on its website what was originally credited as a story “written by” reporter Bob Westfall. Unfortunately, though, this posting was nothing but a word-for-word re-posting of Democrat Ohio Senator Sherrod Brown’s latest press release. There was little to no difference between Brown’s press release and the “story” as posted on the ABC 7 news site.

Won’t Be “Cartoon Player For Lefty Games”

“ i simply could not any longer endure being a cartoon player for lefty games, just gotta move on to higher ground even if there’s no oxygen

i have never and never will forgive Chris for calling me a racist after the West Virginia primary (the last time I will ever go on air with him). Probably should have resigned then and there, but better late than never.

Obama Misspells Syracuse on His NCAA Bracket, Get's Edited Out By ESPN

Image
The ABC story on Obama's basketball picks consisted of highlights from corporate cousin ESPN's session with Obama as he filled out a big bracket chart, and World News included Obama's spelling challenge. “Should be an R in there,” ESPN's Andy Katz corrected Obama upon spotting how the President had misspelled “Syracuse” as “Sycacuse.”

Dan Quayle was judging a spelling bee, and was handed a card with "Potato" Misspelled as "Potatoe". When he corrected the child using the Misspelled Judging Card he had been handed, the Major Television Networks and Major Newspapers all ran the Story that Dan Quayle is an idiot because he doesn't know how to spell Potato.

With Barack, they not only refuse to make an issue of it, they edit the footage to erase the evidence of his mistake.

When Barack Said "My Muslim Faith", George Stephanopolus Immediately corrected him to say "My Christian Faith."

Had a Republican made such a mistake, it would have been sound bite of the decade, repeated over and over endlessly in case someone on the dark side of the moon missed it.

I'm convinced we're nowhere near realizing how badly we've been screwed yet. The 2010 election season hasn't really begun yet, and 2012... is going to be interesting in the worst sense of the word.

Harry lends his magic to Lib Dem's campaign

Image
Daniel Radcliffe has revealed his latest role - as an adviser to Liberal Democrat leader Nick Clegg

Nick is really hoping Daniel’s support will be a long-term affiliation with the party as Nick knows how important it is to be in touch with the youth of today and Daniel is a perfect tool for that.’

Radcliffe, who lives in New York but plans to buy a home in England, has also agreed to spend more time in the UK to encourage youngsters into voting for the Lib Dems.

This story exposes how the Media influence elections.

Media Lying About Racist Attacks on Black Reps By Tea Party Protesters… VIDEO PROOF

Image

The state-run media is now pushing their anti-tea party propaganda from sources at the anti-military Jew-hating conservative-hating Huffington Post. And, they’re reporting this propaganda without a single piece of evidence.

On Saturday the media reported without a shred of evidence that tea party protesters were shouting obscenities and “n***er” at black Representatives on Capitol Hill. The representatives said it happened as they walked from the Longworth office building to the Rayburn office building.

Fortunately, there is video of the entire event which likewise recorded the sound. Conclusive proof that the people making the accusation are lying. (I could be kind and say they "Misheard", but i'm certain they heard what they wanted to hear.)

Most US media support health care legislation

Image

One of the few dissenting voices came from The Wall Street Journal, which said the bill amounted a "federal takeover" of the US health-care system -- "and the ticker tape media parade is already underway," it added.

"So this hour of liberal political victory is a good time to adapt the "Pottery Barn" rule that Colin Powell once invoked on Iraq: You break it, you own it," The Journal said in an editorial.
This is how the Media attempts to move public opinion, and they very often succeed. The Media needs to be de-leftified.

Whouda thunkit ? Everyone knows how Liberals have a lock on Journalism, but Helen Thomas is the RARE exception.
