Anyone who supports the prohibition on Tetrahydrocannabinol must therefor logically support the prohibition of the recreational drugs Methylcarbinol, Nicotine and Caffeine.
THC is an hallucinogen that increases the likelihood of a user suffering a psychotic episode by more than 5,000%. It also destroys ambition, makes people lazy under-achievers and promotes dishonesty.

You can dance around these facts all you like, but this won't make you less a moron for your opinion.
Not enough to make it illegal, as running for public office can be shown to have very similar effect.

This is why one can't have a sensible conversation with a pot-head--no amount of evidence is enough to persuade them they're wrong. Pot-heads always end up making the same vacant claims:
THC is in the same category as Nicotine with the sole exception being that Nicotine forms a chemical dependency (physical addiction) in the brain while THC doesn't. Hell caffeine is more dangerous to you then THC is. . .
Everyone knows this is a lie but potheads make these kinds of claims anyway. I don't think pot-heads know how pathetic they sound to pretend hallucinogens that make people psychotic are really less toxic than caffeine.

What's the likelihood to begin with?

The study that shows this is posted here in one of the drug threads. Was a few months ago.

No study has EVER found that to be true. What you have are statistical analysis's from preselected groups of individuals.

We have studied white walls and determined that 90% of patients in a mental hospital suffer from some sort of mental disorder. In a blue painted regular hospital we only saw a 2% rate of patients with a mental disorder. Thus we can conclude that white painted walls increase the chances of a mental disorder by 4500 percent.

That is exactly what those studies did, studied a group of mental patients and then counted how many had consumed THC. Took a "control" group of regular folk and asked them the same question. Divided the two and called it a day. This is a classic logical fallacy, correlation =/= causation.

As for the rest, how you can honestly say that with a straight face?
It also destroys ambition, makes people lazy under-achievers and promotes dishonesty.
Seriously .... .... ....

Do you even realize how much of an ass you just made yourself out to be. I already knew you were a delusional idiot practicing mental gymnastics to prevent a psychotic breakdown but this takes it to a whole new level. We're way past conservative rhetoric and into bishop GIT territory. What next branding a big red "M" on the heads of those who don't work "hard enough" for your church?

Having a wife and family has shown to have similar effect.

That's how wild and baseless his claims are. It's down to moral authority as their final remaining argument. "Make it illegal because I say it's bad and my moral authority is the law".

MS's is right, the "new conservatices" aren't conservatives at all, their just religious democrats.

Cannabis makes people psycho. Anyone who has spent any real time in the drug culture knows it's true. Anyone who has spent time with psychotics knows it's true. Especially people working in psych wards know it's true.

It's an hallucinogen, folks! What did you think psychosis was all about?

Claims that THC is less dangerous than caffeine ought to be enough to completely discredit those who make them.

If anyone needs more evidence, consider paladin's argument. It is basically to say any/all evidence is wrong and he is right. Ignore all studies. Ignore what the pharmacopia says. Ignore how people act when they get high. Ignore the consequences like the wreck that is Simon's life. THC is less toxic than caffeine. Except. . it isn't. It's a powerful hallucinogen.

Why would I take your word for any of this?

And just by the headline, good on that farmer, the police need to be put in their place. I seriously doubt any drugs needed to be involved.

I figured there would be someone here willing to say such a thing but didn't want to predict such psycho behavior and scare it off.

So "good for the farmer" who drove his tractor over a bunch of police cars and turned a misdemeanor into a felony, and who was released but will now serve real time.

This is why you can't argue with druggies. They just have no grasp of reality.

Alcohol is a hallucinogen. Tolerated quite nicely by society.

There are two ways to solve the drug problem - a total police state (gotta keep an eye on them mushroom pickers in the woods) or legalization.

Prohibitionists hope for a perfect world thus empowering criminals and creating a police state.

Legalizers want a less perfect world and fewer police (and those directed against interpersonal crimes) and criminals.

It has gotten so bad that there is now a police organization against a police state. http://www.leap.cc/cms/

Amusing to me is that the arguments presented are the same as those presented when alcohol prohibition was on the wane.

Can any prohibitionists explain how about 50% of 25 year olds have had personal experience with pot? I thought that stuff was illegal.
