We didn't notice. You see, we have Americans that talk like idiots too.

Now that we understand you're not an American, we will thank you to keep your unsolicited opinions about our politics to yourself. Have a Coke and a Smile and STFU. :)

David
And I am the 5 yr old one?

You already started the ad hominem attacks. And this is a discussion forum. If you dont want my opinions about your politics, then simply take it to PM with whom you want to talk it about, or dont talk about it at all. Alternativelly, ask the administrator to create a politics forum closed to non americans.

Btw, I exposed my arguments (saying that if you want to blame Kennedy and Carter, you must first blame Eisenhoven). Its not my fault that you chose to not read them and then blame me of "No i'm not! You are ! "No we didn't ! YOU Did ! " arguments.

I am still mulling this over. You make a good point, but I am very emotionally attached to the idea that people should stay out of family squabbles unless they are part of the family. It's one thing if I call my brother a dirty low down snake, and it's quite another if someone else tries it.

The Arabs have a proverb that goes something like this:

Me against my Brother. My Brother and I against our Cousins. My Brother, My Cousins and Myself against the infidels.

So let's say we put that aside for a moment. The least fair thing to be done is for you to provide us the Name of Your Country so that we may mock and malign your history, your leaders and the members of your political parties.

Just guessing, but i'm suspecting you might be from the French part of Canada, N'est-ce pas?

Any democrat in this forums?
I'm a creationist all right. I believe in creating artifacts to improve civilization.

I also favor intelligent designs. Mine.

Your understanding of the American political scene is laughable. I will factor that in when considering your technical suggestions.

Let me lay it out for you. There are differences between conservative Republicans and libertarian Republicans. Although there are enough points in common (we are cousins) to co-operate politically.

BTW Democrats are rather rare in engineering circles. Engineers tend towards libertarians with some conservatives thrown in. There is a reason why we are compatible. Engineers are a conservative lot. Lives depend on our doing things right. The libertarian side comes in because we want the liberty to do things right without arbitrary constraints. Oh. Yeah. Engineers are deep into economics because:

Engineering is the art of making what you want from what you can get at a profit.

Which is why socialists disgust us. There is no profit in socialism. Only losses.

In the eyes of the Agitators in South Carolina (who as George Will said "did more to start the Civil War than anyone else" ) Fort Sumpter was Federal Property just the same way that Fort Ticonderoga was British Property.
I'm down with that. I think that history has shown that it wasn't South Carolina property. In the same way that Israel is not Arab property. So far. And hopefully for a long time to come.

In any case there are new wars to fight. I'm allied with Southern Republicans to defeat socialists everywhere.

Well, Marx believed that... I don't. If we could run monte carlo simulations of earth history changing arbitrary parameters then yes, objectivity is possible, otherwise as always both are subject to multiple views.
The various stripes of socialism are death machines to varying degrees.

Political liberty allied with a market economy is the best engine for prosperity known to man.

This is historical truth. The proof is that communist countries are moving towards more market economies. Let us hope political liberty follows in time. As it has in formerly authoritarian countries like Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, Spain etc.

If it isn't obvious, I doubt any explaining would help, and No, it's not George W. He and his father were both lousy presidents (on some issues. Not so bad on others.) , but not in the same league even with the number one and two worst Presidents.

Given how he spelled Eisenhower, I suspect he's German. Which makes it even more funny, a German lecturing us about electing shitty tyrannical leaders.... if he's French its almost as funny.

French Canadians speak French like Mexicans speak Spanish and Americans speak English and Brazillians speak Portuguese.

Now, the list of shittiest US Presidents starts with Carter at number 1, and Obama at number 2. Which explains why so many foreigners love them both. I think we should propose a new election law to save us a lot of work and expense. We should let all the foreigners vote on who they want for president, and whoever they vote AGAINST the most, wins.

There's a reason why the 20th century was the century of American exceptionalism, it was because we were exceptionally different from the rest of the world. The idiots on the left either forgot that, or hate that, and wish to end that.

Your comment echos a point I was thinking about earlier. There is nothing like the American Right in Europe. There never has been. We have a totally different lineage than does the European right. (which was descended from the aristocratic class structure.) The American right is that segment of the country that wants to remain faithful to the ideas upon which the country was founded. Freedom, Independence, Classic Liberalism and a Government only so strong as it must be to perform it's NECESSARY tasks. (i.e. Limited Government.)

The Ideals of the American Right are the culmination of the forces that created the USA, and made it possible for it to become great. This is why the Tea Party people utilize the symbols of the founding. The Tri-corner hats, the Betsy Ross and Gadsden flags, the Flintlock rifles, the copies of the US Constitution and the Declaration of independence, etc. They use these symbols because they represent fidelity to the Ideals behind the creation of the USA.

Foreigners seem to have trouble understanding the thinking and motivation of the American right. To paraphrase a famous slogan: "It's an American thang, you wouldn't understand."

I was thinking about MSimon's earlier comment about the American right being made up of an alliance of conservatives and libertarians, who are political cousins, and I would say that there are really three factions, rather than two:

1. Moral conservatives
2. Fiscal conservatives
3. Libertarians

It strikes me that some moral conservatives are also fiscal conservatives, and some libertarians are also fiscal conservatives, but libertarians and moral conservatives are rather different creatures. This is not to say that many libertarians don't live their lives in a somewhat morally conservative manner... but libertarians will usually say "this is how I choose to live my life, but I won't tell you how to live yours, and I don't want you to tell me how to live mine." Moral conservatives, on the other hand, can be more prone to casting judgment on people for their behavior.

In that sense, it's the fiscal conservative element that binds the other two factions. That, and the fact that all of them don't want socialists telling them how to live their lives.

You know someone is really Futzing up when JIMMY CARTER says their approach is "feeble."

FORMER United States president Jimmy Carter has derided as "feeble" American plans to mediate in the dispute between the Israelis and Palestinians by shuttling back and forth between the two.

And do you know why the Americans have to shuttle? The Palis won't accept any contact with the Israelis. The whole farce is a charade.

It's kinda funny. People may say that we've been exposed to "Zionist Propaganda", but from the news stories i've read, the Palestinians appear to be some of the dumbest people on the planet. What's even funnier, is they are matched up against some of the Smartest people on the planet. I wonder if they will ever get hit with a clue bat?

The Palestinians have never missed an opportunity to miss an opportunity to better their lot.
When opinion and reality conflict - guess which one is going to win in the long run.
