They combined things into categories. Polywell is in some category but $2M for the whole category won't focus on a particular proposal. They are going to take the vote then make RFPs for the winning categories. I suppose that if the right university won the bid, then Polywell might get some attention.

Can anyone figure out which category Polywell might have been put in?

Energy?

Without a clear category that fits polywell or the subjects around polywell, I am inclined to vote something completely different.
