The WSJ is at least partly available on-line:

http://online.wsj.com/public/us

At the moment, the Sunday page is up and has a teaser for an article appearing in the Monday paper:

http://online.wsj.com/article/SB1219017 ... us_pageone

I'm so intrigued by that "-pageone" tag I won't be able to sleep.

Cool!

That's gotta be a Hirsch-Farnsworth type machine, right?

Great timing for IEC fusion to get some media attention. If were paranoid, I'd say suspiciously good timing.

Dave, the article that accompanies that has been in the works for about a year. I have no idea why it finally got the go-ahead now.

Yes, Richard runs classic Hirsch-Farnsworth machines. He's the first amateur fusioneer inspired by Dr. Bussard's suggestion that we encourage it as a hobby.

Just picked it up at the news stand. Bottom, page one. No mention of polywell, but Messrs. Ligon, Hull, and others get their 15 minutes. A little of the Farnsworth back story.

One can certainly speculate on the timing of the article's release.

Dam n (Dam n filter),

I was just going to put this up and already done.

Good work!!!

BTW it is too bad Dr. B didn't get a mention.

And is there any news you can give us about New Mexico?

Simon,

No fresh news from New Mexico, but I have very high hopes they're getting close to publishing something.

I sure would love to see that in the WSJ, as soon as appropriate after scientific publication.

I'm quite sure the WSJ knows about this site and knows who to come to when the time is ripe.

Blogged at:

and

With a link to my last fusion report and Tom's last Analog article. And a link to this thread.

I expect Instapundit will pick it up as I just sent him a link.

I sent the WSJ author a few hints and told him to keep an eye out. Also gave him a path (through my June Fusion report) to McCain's interest. That should give him a few leads to work with.

sweet.

I'm already telling my engineering friends up here in Ann arbor to keep on their toes in case anything big happens in fusion. The suspense is killing me.

I just bought two copies of today's WSJ.

Sweet.
