Creating a thread for this (almost) new fusion company. They formed as Princeton Stellarators in 2022 and rebranded to "Thea Energy" after that.

Their idea was to use planar HTS coils and use control electronics to shape the magnetic field, hence removing the complexity of manufacturing Stellarators.

Nice to see that they are moving forward with the plan.

Funds will accelerate next phase of planar coil magnet array manufacturing, integrated stellarator system modeling, and team growth.

Thea Energy’s first-generation fusion system, Eos, will show a clear path to deploying fusion power plants and its development is not contingent on further scientific breakthroughs.
