WHO'S web site???

That is NOT a facetious question, nor rhetorical. Please answer.
The EMC2 website. I can't remember them in detail, but I know at least a handful of times there were things on there that were out of date. Their website is not a priority.

I was wondering if you were making that mistake.

The commercial company EMC2 does not have a web site, at least not one open to the public. What folks keep looking at is the EMC2 Fusion Development Corporation, a not for profit shell that only really has activity when EMC2 tries to push for donations or at MAJOR contractural junctions to better ask for donations. EMC2FDC doesn't seem to have been highly successful, but that is hard to say. I might one day contact the NewMexicoComFoundation which ACTUALLY accepts that donation.

Please note that the web site is EMC2fusion.ORG while the contact eddress is Rick@EMC2fusion.COM. There is no web site for EMC2fusion.com.

Right. That same website I quoted.

WB-8 has been mislabeled as WB-7.1 for over a year (the picture is actually named WB-8, but captioned WB-7.1), and the donation link doesn't work.
n*kBolt*Te = B**2/(2*mu0) and B^.25 loss scaling? Or not so much? Hopefully we'll know soon...

I guess the NEW MEXICO Community Foundation isn't interested in grants to a San Diego business!

the lack of any activity in or around EMC2 ...not even a general hum or whirring from within... makes me more pessimistic as to a fruitful outcome for Polywell in general at the moment.

if things were looking rosy, things would be going on.

Do you have evidence of a lack of activity? Or are you equating that to a lack of evidence of activity?

@rcain Not so true when you think about Dr. Park's interview about WB8. I'd say the last year has been the most open Emc2 year because of that one interview since emc2 founding and WB 7 finished.

but what's Doc Park doing there now, that's my question...

and why apparently, is little else happening - Doc Nebel is further away from EMC2 action it seems at present - hardly the sign of a 'paradigm-shifting whirlwind technology' about to hit the stage, via the lone offices of.... etc.

The interview put to rest all my questions about Dr Nebel, really. The question of why he left is hardly as relevant as the incredible performance of WB8, as attested by another accredited LANL scientist.

I hope the reason he left was something practical, like his wife wanted more time for him, or less stress for him. Will we ever know? Probably not. But Park saying things like, "1000 times the performance of WB7" and "in line with the scaling laws" is waaaaaaay more important.

hmmm. whatever.

here are a few interesting links i came up with whilst googling for "Dr Jaeyoung Park plasma"::

- shows a LOT of publications with his name on (i'm somposing this is mostly one person).

Member at Los Alamos National Laboratory, Los

plasma-based neutron source development.
involved here in 'A High Density Field Reversed Configuration Plasma for Magnetized Target Fusion' from LANL Feb 2004

interesting piece relating to work on POPS - MIT circa 2002 - http://web.mit.edu/murj/www/v07/v07-Reports/v07-r3.pdf

some pretty sexy stuff here - http://dl.acm.org/citation.cfm?id=1758033 - "Diagnosis model of radio frequency impedance matching in plasma equipment by using neural network and wavelets" - Pacific Rim international conference on Artificial intelligence - 2006

nice connection - came out of Princton - same as Doc Bussard - http://w3.pppl.gov/gradprogram/Misc/Thesis-59.html

I personally think that was Rick Nebel tossing us a bone.

Like, you drove by and saw dust gathering on the door knobs?

you know any different?
