It might be old new to many of us here, but this is interesting.

Just wondering if some of that push could help the Polywell efforts.

For some reason I think that recently the regulatory agency that oversees this kind of shenaniganry for safety now will accept old designs coupled with site assessments, as opposed to having do both site assessments and full review of designs. I may be remembering incorrectly though.

you guys are so easy...playing you like a fiddle.. this adminstration gives a non-committal, cost-free statement about the need to invest in "this kind of technology,"...and then continues to appoint hard enviro-left, anti-growth, neo-malthusians in all the regulatory posts that actually have a say in these matters!

If the administration was ACTUALLY remotely serious about any kind of nuclear power they wouldn't have

-shut down Yucca mountain despite it passing every real regulatory hurdle (and several additional rediculous imaginary hurdles as well)

-continued to delay all new nuclear permits (how long does it actually take to move things along? come on now)

-appoint energy secretary who actually admits to being anti-nuclear power...
