Here's another question with regard to the scaling, is the distance from the Magrid to the Earthed cage dependent only on the voltage and not on reactor dimensions? In the pictures, for example, the earthed cage surrounding the magrid appears to have twice the diameter of the magrid, if the volume e...

The Tokamak I'm working on typically produces 4*10^13 neutron for a good one second long shot using pure Deuterium gas, it is a cylinder diameter 4 metres and height 4 metres.

What happens to the cold electrons from the puffed in fuel?

Okay this is my understanding to date of how Polywell fusion fuelling works. You use an electron gun to inject electrons into the central cathode giving them enough energy to overcome its radially repulsive force. Then you "drop" in ions from outside the cathode to fuel the device, these autmaticall...

When I said power I meant heat power emitted from the neutrons. If coolant was pumped trough the blanket of ITER and if that coolant was fed into an electricity generator, then perhaps even taking all the inefficiecies of powering the neutral beams, the central solenoid and turning the resulting hea...

The JET tokamak was the first fusion device in the work to achieve conditions close to break-even, releasing 16.1 Megawatts of fusion power in the form of neutron heat energy, this was 62% of the heat power from external soureces absorbed by the plasma. That's an indisputable scientifically recorded...

My understanding of how the Magrid Works

I've still only read up seriuosly on this concept for a few months so please correct me if I'm wrong, but this is my understanding of how the magrid achieves high levels of electron recirculation: 1) electron guns inject electrons axially, parallel to the field lines into the centre of the device. 2...
