Ladajo, In college I had to not use pot due to its effect on my ability to do engineering classwork. It was as available as alcohol, but the alcohol did not have the same effect. My brain is how I made my living. Moreover, my roommates could drink and the alcohol fumes in the room would not have any...

You guys are spoofing, right? The key issue is energy storage not permittivity at low voltage. The report correction shows permittivity at 1000 volts to be 20 (November 6 report correction). Yes they have something, lots of hot air, for a decade. They are supposed to have 18,000 permittivity at 3500...

Blankbeard, I am not blowing smoke trying to pull your chain. I read Human Action 45 years ago, and I still remember having to read the dictionary side by side. It was worth reading that huge book though. Man Economy and State by Rothbard was another, and easier reading, but not less insightful. Wit...

Blankbeard, First you seemed to imply value is not subjective but objective. Then you give some examples that are outside of the assumptions that the marginal utility theorem requires, so it seemed that you did not understand the context that marginal utility theorem assumes. Like I said, I am not h...

Blankbeard, It is more involved than that. Take something as simple as buying apples. Which store, what type of apple, how many, how crisp, what size, of a particular size and type, which ones? Or maybe include some pears? Should they be organic, grown in USA, etc. All decisions, but price per pound...

Blankbeard, "but I'm not convinced this is right." It is at the heart of Austrian economics. Theory of value being subjective does not mean arbitrary. Rather than poorly reinventing the wheel, here is a fairy good and short article on value: http://mises.org/daily/6001/The-Measurement-Chimera Best r...

BB, there is a more fundamental problem and that is all value is subjective (valuation varies with time place, person, circumstances, etc), there is no objective value. We reveal our valuations by the choices we make ourselves. If we are not the ones making the choices then how can anyone know what ...

Privatizing space was a start. Use that as a model to privatize everything but the criminal justice system, defense, and discharge limits. Once you look at the list of other "services" that could be performed privately, the current federal expenditure on layers of bureaucrats becomes laughable. Real...

Do you honestly think you are so smart, "still not getting it?" They are caught between the devil and the deep blue sea. They can't print their way out of the mess and they can't borrow their way out. I asked you to look at the exponential money supply curve for which we are on the puck end of the s...

Also the debt isn't what's hurting, not even close. At this time... What happened to Greece was rating downgrades caused that cost to skyrocket. Rating down grades have already begun for us. By the time it gets to the land of Greece, it is too late. To avoid the downgrades the borrowing of +trillio...
