I don't believe Americas are so entitled. It is my understanding that we worked hard and many of our ancestors starved to give us what we have today. Some of us still like to work hard. For the fun of it. If I understand the philosophy correctly, it is this: Work little and get lots of entitlements...

I guess that the amateur LENR enthusiast will need to somehow grind nickel in the regular atmosphere. This will cause an oxide layer on all particles. This powder is then loaded in a vacuum chamber, and a turbo pump is used (and perhaps a cryopump afterwards). The powder is then heated or somehow e...

Suppose an amateur wanted to replicate an E-Cat, and attempted to prepare Ni powder. What is a cheap way to do this and remove or convert the oxide? You would need a high vacuum pump, like a turbo pump, or liquid nitrogen trapped diffusion pump. I figure it would cost you about 10k to amass the req...

http://www.statehousenews.com/skedtuesday.htm EDITOR'S NOTE: According to Sen. Bruce Tarr, Andrea Rossi, "the Italian scientist who claims to have developed the world's first nuclear cold fusion reactor is coming to the State House tomorrow to explore the prospects of developing the device and prod...

Just finished the PDFs, they're short. To summarize what they say: If the devices works, it maybe a source for cheaper power, but they need to be independently verified. Suprise, surprise, the same things we've been saying from the beginning. Yeah. But the slides were overly optimistic, don't you t...

There are a lot of links with Bushnell saying similar things. Clearly he is a believer in the LENR phenomena. I see that he is believer that LENR is possible. But any physics will send Rossi to his died parents addressing with not quite good words seeing how Rossi makes calorimetry claiming excess ...

Please give a link where he is saying the same except ecatplanet.net. I dunno, I know its not official, but it looks pretty legit to me. And what is legit in that some web-resource for promoting something changes protosource words changing main idea? With all respect Mr. Bushnell he is not authorit...

OTH. Gravity is well understood in engineering level, but remains tough mystery for science.
Mechanism of inertia as well.

As an "interested observer" in this exchange, it would be nice of you to back this up with valid calculations -- especially since you admit you do not know the energy output of such a reaction? :) Not knowing numbers for specific reaction does not mean that we can not see the whole picture. As for ...

[SNIP] But know that inputting air into the chamber with metal hydride we will release a lot of energy. With remaining of metal oxide in reactor and exhausting of steam. Released energy will be at least comparable with burning of hydrocarbons. [SNIP] As an "interested observer" in this exchange, it...

Re: TallDave's questions... I thought there was some numbers on the 10KW E-Cat in the original thread for an upper bound on the amount of energy that could be produced in that small volume. I took a cursory look, but couldn't find it. (Any way to easily search a specific thread?) Anyway, the NASA sl...

Apprently Defkalion got their hands on spectroscopy made by the University of Siena and was able to figure out Rossi's "formula"... http://www.nyteknik.se/nyheter/energi_miljo/energi/article3353181.ece ...this story gets jucier and jucier. Sounds like Defkalion just put multiple heat elements throu...

Krivit has posted an interesting exchange with Tom Blakeslee. Worth a read if you'all get a chance. I also took a look at Rossi's January Patent app from Italy today. Another insteresting read. Made me wonder again about his curious ideas on shielding. Good exchange, and credit to Krivit for postin...
