Oh no, I don't think we'll know much of anything outside of Rick's good graces and the recovery act! My speculation is just that, speculation. However I try to base it on deduction as much as possible. But you're right to assume we won't know anything else for some years, even if there's evidence th...

The precedent set in the schedule of WB-7 of 3-4 months before first fusion isn't really applicable to WB-8 IMO as the machine was totally new to all the operators aka WB-8 is now the second polywell RNebel has worked on making it probably significantly easier to work on. I suppose the counter argum...

Wish I had the links, I'm sure someone can find them, We've deduced in the forum WB-8 has a large probability of being up and running since April 30 (validation part of the phase). Seeing as we're a little over 2 months from that date, deductively Rick probably knows how well the scaling works and a...

To state the obvious, the "lesson" kite is referring to is cusp loses on WB-6.

The the slight modification to magnet spacing changed everything.

Just putting it out there in case random internet people read and do not understand.

Anyone from the IEC University of Wisconsin department viewing this thread? Seems like there might be some qualified people there for a journalist to quote too. I would like an opinion that hasn't been close to Polywell (other than our dear Mr Suppes - who although an amateur, so far is very awesome...

POPS iec fusion

Can someone please explain that (POPS fluctuation) to me in layman's terms (or just significantly more detail), preferably with MSPaint pictures included?

I wish I had the skills to even qualify for contribution :( Famulus is inspiring, though.

Will just watch and invest should any of the companies that jump on polywell go (or are already) public.

As I consider at least MSimon here my elder, I respectfully will leave his statement last in our conversation on the war.

Iraq has the world second largest PROVEN reserve, equal to 120 bbl of high quality and extremely cheap to produce oil. Iraq has theoretical recoverable oil of 500 bbl! That's 60 years worth of US consumption. Are you still convinced that OIL is not the reason why we are in ME? I am still convinced,...

Some months ago, I submitted the MSNBC Cosmic log news story to the Engadget/Gizmodo news submission on their main page.

No idea if that helped lead them to this, but I can dream.

The people following of those two sites are Legion; they are a sleeping giant. I hope this woke them up.

Just the kind of Press Polywell needs. Hopefully at the end of the current embargo, Nebel can hire this guy for future East Coast operations - if he hasn't received funding by then that is :D
