the supernova neutrino detection DISPROVES that neutrinos travel faster than light, despite neutrinos arriving earlier. What if only certain flavors of neutrinos are FTL, as the links provided by Grumalg in the other thread suggest? Or do they even suggest that? Is a violation of Lorentz covariance...

Re: GOP or Tea Party? Let Him Die

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1hd1UbSPx-E Read the description for context as this isn't a shot at Ron Paul, he was just asked the question. Is the crowd's view the GOP view or the Tea Party View? It wasn't anyone's "view"; it was somebody in the crowd taking a shot at Ron Paul. Unless, of course,...

Reality differs. Repetition doesn't change that.

The EPA writes and enforces its regulations that are based on laws passed by the Congress. Congress != Obama Just had to point that out. EPA = Obama The EPA is a creature of the WH and is now creating and enforcing regulations that have not been approved by congress, and even in direct contradictio...

Yes. But where does the majority of political support come from these days? I think you'd be surprised that a large sector, if not majority, of the "tea party" movement has no taste for the drug war and is much more libertarian in nature than evangelical. The "social" conservatives - morality polic...

The people enforcing the laws and prosecuting them are the racists in the drug war - since the laws themselves are "blind". As government employees, these types are 90% more likely to be "D" than "R". Therefore, D's are clearly racist; our government is clearly racist. We need less government, and u...

maybe the capitalism you dream of is as much a utopia as communism? One will always lead to corporatism, the other to dictatorship? The difference is that communism, at its base, must always rely on theft. Capitalism, on the other hand, relies on people cooperating with each other. The excesses of ...

I'd say the chart merely reflects the changing government policy of length of unemployment benefits, as when the benefits expire or people give up looking, those people are no longer counted. What's it: 99 weeks of eligibility now? More telling is this graph: http://www.businessinsider.com/details-f...

I just recently disconnected my satellite and switched to TV over the net. Netflix is awesome for catching up on older TV shows and outdated movies, and is only $10/month. I wouldn't pay for Hulu or any of the other streaming sites. If there are specific shows you follow, you can usually watch them ...

You know, I really should have mentioned Holmes on Homes . Unfortunately, I'm knowledgeable enough in the industry to even catch him in a few mistakes, bu...

I don't bother watching much on TV anymore except Science fiction shows and science documentaries. SG1. Still one of my favorite SF shows ever, even if they had to get more and more ridiculous with the enemies and solutions towards the end, the characters still carried the show. Atlantis was watchab...
