As I've already said, proof exists today of exactly what will happen.
When the alcohol prohibition ended there wasn't sky rocketing "addiction" to alcohol. THC doesn't form a physical addiction, it's actually less addicting the nicotine and alcohol.

Prohibition doesn't work, we have nearly 100 years of evidence showing it. The perfect example is the prohibition of Ethyl hydroxide. The Mafia made their money off it, setting up specialized distribution channels to support the illegal trade of Ethyl hydroxide products. They would conduct gang warf...

Mostly agree with one difference. We also hear about how now women are frustrated, because they want a man who makes more money/is a bit brighter/is a bit older etc. than they are. This can be distilled down to something easier. All women want a mate who they believe is worth more then they are. The...

Only problem with that line of reasoning is that you can't take em back to the states, at least not until you've been together awhile and had a few kids. The absolute last thing I need is my significant other picking up on the bad habits of the "independent, empowered western female". I guess its a...

Hmm I think my "Women are selfish" wasn't clearly stated. Selfish as they now expect to be able to have a career, travel the world, have active social lives and still raise a family. Without serious financial assistance this isn't possible. Raising children in and of itself rules out many other opti...

The absolute last thing I need is my significant other picking up on the bad habits of the "independent, empowered western female". I guess its a good thing I have no intention of returning to the USA anytime in the next decade. There is nothing wrong with the "independent, empowered western female...

To the OP. As a libertarian I feel there should be zero government involvement with this. Population control and breeding sounds too close to eugenics for my tastes. No free government (as in non-dictatorship / monarchy) can do anything past 70%, some not past 50%, why would we want to trust our rel...

His argument is basically this: Why buy the cow when you get the milk for free? As long as the milk is "free" fewer and fewer men will buy cows. If that is indeed his arguement then I suppost I DON'T agree with his diagnosis. No sane man goes into marriage to get "milk". By this rather silly simily...

Steal it and offer it in a new country So your a true communist / socialist. Thanks for letting everyone know it. And yet ... you completely ignore the fact that there is no ethereal "super heroes" that go around righting wrongs and stealing secret anti-aging drugs to give to the free world. Compan...

Hmm interesting approach. While I'm anti-prohibition on libertarian grounds alone, I do believe dangerous chemicals need to be controlled. If it can be proved that a chemical poses a grave health risk with a toxicity over that of Ethyl hydrate, then I don't see a problem with control's on its distri...

Basically yeah, the Chinese don't need to research their own stuff they can just copy / steal from others. Although the article had a slightly sensationalistic tone, especially when the term "network" was used interchangeably with "internet". The journalist also threw in the words "classified" and t...

It's a cure for a guaranteed death sentence, or rather possible cure, doesn't always work. And rather then sell it for a reasonable price, you jack it up as high as possible. Seriously, you act like if some bio pharmaceutical researcher somewhere found a way to reverse cellular degradation they woul...

Sorry for the near necro-post, was busy and never got a chance go get back into the discussion. The US Military M1 use's DU because of it's combined density and hardness, it's layered with various composite ceramics to breakup and dissipate the energy of the impacting round. It pays the price by bei...

My Point Proven
And this the free market proved my point for me. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/44231292/ns/health-cancer/#.TlOSZ2G2WVo Fairly successful drug for what is normally a quick and very fatal blood cancer. The cost ... $4500 per vial, or approx $96,000 to $100,000+ per treatment. You might require several t...
